anyone done the mission when you have to trap irena in the lift i keep dying when the guys zipwire down and jung is on the computer can anyone help?
 
You have to hide behind the left block and Michael takes the right side. Take out the snipers first up in the stands - and then when the big group comes in through the centre, throw a couple of frags and take out the rest.

It's a bit tough at first, but you'll get it eventually ;)
 
I recently bought this game on PC, and wandered if there was a way I could use my Thrustmaster game pad on it. Can anyone help?
 
I think we are all 360 players here mate so it may not be the best place to ask that question
 
I got it today.

It crashed on the casino level where you have to go up a few floors and spec ops come in.

Love the game though, wish it hadnt crashed I was doin ace :(
 
its the second level (I think?)

Cant say too much or it will spoil the game, but you have to plan your way into the room with the hostages, and target the two men in there who are ready to shoot them (by pressing select I think).
 
One of the games I am spending the most time on at the moment, especially on Live. Its superb
 
Has anybody had the Dantes bug (when you're in the theatre, you have to blow up their computer, then it saves, you're told to head to the roof, if you don't see the ladder you look around for the way to the roof and it saves again, then if you die you're put back to the checkpoint and told to blow up their computer but the game won't let you blow it up because it thinks you've already completed the last objective)?

You can't progress, all you can do is get to the computer and then when it won't let you blow it up, there's nothing you can do. If you try to get to the roof, the essential door is "locked" until you blow up the computer.

I've just noticed a "scene selection" option, so hopefully that is the way around, but still... This is supposed to be next-gen and they can't even get testing right, which they've had enough years'-worth of practice at, surely?!

I bought this the other day, it´s great.But it takes ages to level up in multiplayer, wouldn´t mind but i hate how few customizing options there is and its stupid you have to play it so much just to unlock weapons and different camo ect (PC version doesnt have unlocks). What´s the fastest way to level up?

Team elimination with no respawns is great.

The new maps are Marshalling Yard, Roof, Doscala Restaurant, Border Town -- Redux, and Killhouse -- Redux.

The two new modes are Assassination mode and Total Conquest (a mode most recently revived from Rainbow Six: Black Arrow). The first mode pits two teams against one another, one of which is an escort team trying to deliver a VIP to one of two extraction points, while the other tries to kill the escort and defend the extraction points. While characters on both teams look like militants and mercenaries, the escort himself is a bald, be-speckled business man, armed only with a handgun. He stands out big time. Total Conquest is a team-oriented control point set-up that's similar to a standard Battlefield game. Players vie to control three satellites and win by holding satellites for the most amount of time at the end of the allowed period or by gaining possession of all three satellites for 30 seconds.

I got it yesterday and am hooked on the new game modes, the maps are good but u cant beat playing Total Conquest in the Calypso where there is a satelite on each of the 3 floors :)

VIP is great as well, normally the games are no longer than 5 minutes because there are no respawns. I couldnt drag myself away from playing this mode on the new Doscala level last night

for Rainbow players its a must have, not for the maps but the game modes because they are awesome on any map

BTW a tip for ya dont EVER play Attack and defend on Doscala, you will see why if your the defenders. Snipers and respawn haha
 
Well I've just gone crazy and bought 2000 MS points. The two things I'm looking to download are the Rainbow Six Vegas map pack and the Gears Of War map pack.

Are there enough people using the new maps to make them worth buying?
 
i just hate the silly american kids online. last night was full of them and they piss me off.
 
nah but we should all play online... coopz lets get it done! And i refuse to be on kobashi's team, im going to gun him down like a dog for talking shit about annoying americans! :)
