Right lads, my bro needs a new laptop and he's basically got the price range of 400 - 600 anyone now whats the best for buck buys for that price range for a laptop?

I just got mine from Dell for £387 and it's pretty decent spec.
 
Went on the site and didnt understand how the hell it works , reminds me of those bargain shops back in the day where everyones rushing and you dont now whats happening :|
 
I got a £500 Toshiba just before Xmas, shouldve been £550 but ah well.

Really, really like it.

The keyboard is great to use, its pretty stylish and the screen is very good.

i just bought a Dell M1330 - it was £770, with a 9-cell battery which lasts for about 6 hours... should've cost closer to £900. have a look on hotukdeals, as mentioned above.

it's beautiful - never thought i'd say that about a laptop, but this one really is! i got mine in red. have a look at dell's website for the xps range - you can't go far wrong with them, but be prepared to be spending all of his £600 available!
 
edit: just noticed that my top-spec xps m1330 laptop is now back up to £999 - looks like i ordered mine at the right time!

ive got an e system 3085 that im wantin to get rid of... want £100 for it.

google it for spec ~ 4O GB hard drive!
