Had a quick look and noticed there wasn't already a golf thread (other than a Ryder Cup one from six years ago), so...
I used to play golf when I was a kid - primarily with a school friend called Paul Waring. Paul is now a touring PGA professional, which is no surprise to me given how good he was then, but obviously, I couldn't compete with him, so as a teenager I just... Gave up.
A year ago I started playing again, with a starter set from American Golf - and now, I've bought myself a decent set (Cobra Amps), got fitted (had an inch added to the shafts of the irons), and I'm enjoying playing golf again. I mean, my handicap is 30-something, but I live for a straight shot, at the minute. The thrill of it.
Any other golfers on here?
