how does the save game builder work i need to change to max drive from x port,cheers

Well, you open the save builder, then open the file that you need and the "save as" the file to either x-port or max.

i am trying to convert the x port file to max so i can edit in the pes fan editor i tried what you said but it didnt work am i being stupid

You are doing this with the wrong software.

You need to download the save converter.
