@Ciais My work schedule has been way too busy to play. But I won't play another football game ever again. Your modifications are so good.

I'll start a new tournament as soon as I can.
 
I'm back playing this regularly. So so good. I think im using @Ciais's latest mod(april?) but might have missed one.
I have a retro mod I use which i will preview soon if anyone's interested. It's mainly for old teams i used to like such as 2001-2018 teams rather than a full on old school patch.

Pack contains scoreboards and popups, intros and tv logos that i have. Just copy to the folders in FIFA directory.
Many scoreboards are made by me and by others editors. I recreated some of the popups (they are not 100% accurate) but i create it to look realistic for the game.
 
Can someone help me. This is my first time when i am trying to install some mods for fifa. I want to play with gameplayzer, but before i installed infinity patch. I made it according to instruction but I got wrong names for players and still an old squads. Updated kits and some club's emblems like Man. City. May be something else.
It was a clean origin's fifa.

Hi pal,

I had that too. I don’t get updated squads on exhibition but try tournament and you should have them in there and then you need to select the career mod part ( can’t remember what it is called at the moment ) to the update in there. Hope that helps. I’ll try and check what it is called later.

That's because this is a brand new version, from 0. The one in the other thread is at least 2 years old.

This one is not out yet, brethren. Will fire up a new thread when it's ready :D

Hi!

You shouldn't have different squads in exhibition or tournament -- whenever I applied the Gameplayzer to my testing ModdingWay install, I always had the correct, updated squads everywhere :THINK:
 

Yesterday night while I was playing some random matches, I kinda surprised myself several times having that sort of facial expressions or exclamations out loud that you aren't even aware of because you're so hooked on the game, so into it. This game was so ahead of its time...
When you play any of the football games that came after this one, it makes it look like it is still ahead of its time. Unbelievable.

Honestly, this whole FIFA 16 re-revival (because there has already been one revival about two years ago) was so refreshing. I don't even care about whether PES 2020 demo will be good or not now. Really. I was sort of getting anxious up until last Friday, but after that I'm like "I'm 100% PES 2020 won't be better than this. Sh!t, I'm 100% FIFA 20 won't be better than this". At least there will always be a FIFA 16 to go back to.

Totaly agree. I am on 16 since 2017. For me game is amaizing. Gameplay can always show something different. So many random goals also.
Modding community is big. Also great news is that MW is probably coming back. Also FIP is actual.
We have many stadiums that look even better than ea quality. Wiht Rev Mod game is totaly new and refreshed.
For me 16 is new pes 6 but with more teams and modding posibilities and better gameplay.

Yes! Definitely!
But the randomness in FIFA 16 (at least this modded version - I honestly can't remember how the default gameplay really was) feels like real randomness. Not forced. There's randomness in all areas. The bouncing of the ball. Dribbling and how sometimes the defender reads your intentions perfectly and takes the ball away easily but some other times you totally make them look like complete idiots, shots are very random but still convincing. ETC




Two more videos btw, just showing nothing in particular in terms of gameplay. Uploaded them mostly just to show-off the new GFX MOD coming up.

Yes. thanks. The problem was only with an exhibition.

Unfortunately, all versions of pes and fifa has the same problem. Lack of fouls are happened due to the AI is not aggressive enough. Yeah, gamaplayzer much improved the fouls problem. But the engine bugs is the engine bugs. There are plenty situations when the ball moves near the AI defender and he even don't try to catch the ball. In the most situations AI is escorting your players without tacklings.

Not sure what’s I’ve done wrong then Ciais.
I’ve done it around 4 times with fresh installs and it’s always the same. Random players on exhibition. Same in career unless I select install career mod and when I select that, random players in tournament mode. Might only be city though so I will check other teams. ☝️

Try to lower the CPU line sliders (Height, Width and Length) to ridiculously low values ( i use 30 20 10 for top teams opponents, thanks again Bangus for this tip, changed the game for me) combined with high marking slider value (i use 65 for top team opponent). Also before a game, select your opponents team and set the defenders and defensive middfielders on "agressive interceptions". For me it gave me tough CPU defenses, hard to breack through,some aggressive CPU tackles leading to fouls and always realistic scorelines (some 0-0's in a realistic amount, average score is 2-1)

PS4 player here.

I've been trying to get back into this. I think there's a really great game underneath the surface somewhere, but the AI goalkeepers are superhuman. In FIFA 18 I can almost score at will, but in this I simply can't score at all. They save almost everything from almost every angle. Is there anything I can do with the sliders to eliminate this problem without affecting anything else?

I am still loving this game with the @Ciais mod, it makes PES 2019 look so stale in comparison. I play a few games every day and it's way more satisfying than any of the recent games IMO.

I have a question regarding formation editing though.
I can't seem to adjust the position of any of my players at all in the formation screens. If I highlight a player, click the button to adjust position I can start to adjust them but if I move them in any direction at all they octagon icon around them goes from green to red and I can only cancel the adjustment not save the new position. This is true for all positions and formations and I wondered if it was a byproduct of the mod?
I like to adjust the positions so that I can have formations that aren't in the game by default such as 4-1-4-1 etc.

In Fifa 19 for example (which has the exact same interface and system) if I press the button for adjust position then I can move each player quite a bit before the octagon goes red - it usually only goes red if it will clash with another players position. But in this modded version of 16, even 1 click in any direction means that the octagon goes red.

Any help would be appreciated
