FIFA 15 SLIDERS

Well this latest title update was a pain in the arse wasn't it? Think we've all struggled to find a good balance since it was released, would be nice if one day EA release full patch notes as clearly gameplay has been changed. Anyways, thanks obviously to Matt whose research I've read with interest over the past few weeks in between breaking my PC!

Sorry mate for dump question, but are these sliders for modded pc version of game or could we use it for console versions as well?
 
To be honest Matt V7 was great and so was his V9. Since the game update, I haven't enjoyed FIFA15 at all. Placebo latest sliders do help a lot. But no where near as enjoyable as before. I'm thinking about rolling back the patched FIFA

Is it possible to do this on pc, can't work out the process.
 
They're from the PC version as that's what I have, only one way to know if they work on console and that's to try them ;)

I know, but I meant if you play your pc version with gameplay patches? If yes I think it wouldnt make sense to use the sliders for console.

Why not simply try them and see if they work or not for you? There are no rules to such things, if you like it, great, enjoy it, if you don't like it, look/change some more ;)
 
im using them on ps4 but some tweaks are needed, shot power at 52 is way too strong imo and also i have given the AI + 1 accel, i think im on 49 and AI on 50
 
I just had the biggest keep the ball in the corner and waste time by Man City, they just kept passing it back into the corner and holding it up. Excellent!

Krebstar's thoughts on Old Matt10's Set (Version 7):
Matt, really enjoying this. I'm messing around with Line Width at 20 right now, and it's producing some great things. Maybe it's too compressed, but it definitely creates what you see in real games, which is a more clogged center, and more space on the wings.

This pleases me, as something I did last year to help improve my team's defense was have a very low width set in my custom tactics. I think the tighter width will help keep attackers from darting right through openings.

However I did a quick test with default sliders on legendary. Only FIRST TOUCH has been altered. Same values for user/AI.

I have the impression, this slider has the biggest impact on how the AI actually plays:

100:
no pressure by the strikers, many loose balls and space in midfield. No interruption of passes
80:
more realistic pressure by attacking players. Open game in midfield, maybe still to easy to walk/pass through the midfield. Simulates how a 3 star team should play. Too many errors in the CPUs box, too easy to outrun/walk through the defense in/around the box.
60/65:
acceptable pressing by attacking players. Still open game in midfield. Simulates how a 3/4 star team would play. However too easy to outrun/walk through the defense in/around the box.

If EA would have reduced the impact of this slider on the CPU's defense it would be the perfect silder to adjust the CPU.

All mechanics/routines are in the AI, however there's no way to control them (dynamically) as they should be.

Maybe there's a sweet spot hidden somwhere, so I'll focus on this silder only (until PES release)

Cheers Matt, I hadn't updated my sliders since the patch so will do this weekend.
 
I will be exploring some of the values in a couple hours on Twitch. From what I can tell there is nothing drastic, but if the zonal marking holds up (as opposed to the man marking before) it should be easier to modify the sliders.

Really struggling when the game is on Slow setting. It just feels clumsy at times. Hard to explain

Matt, isn't AI pass error 68 too much? My testing shows that if you put it over 62 most AI crosses go out (behind the goal).
Also, IMO to get a realistic amount of injured players in career mode (1-4 injured players in your roster), injury should be around freq. 87/ sev. 23.

Honestly haven't messed much with injur freq. From what I've seen though 60 works well, although the type of injuries I see that are more common on this setting are the "landing" on broken ankles type. What have you seen on 87/23?

I love the pass error @ 68/68. The best part about it is the CPU truly plays like a human player, playing on full manual. The crosses can be erratic - but they can be very, very good. IRL, you see plenty of poor crosses. Having the pass error at 68 allows those crosses and passes to go into space more versus straight to a player's foot as if everyone plays Brazilian football. I just got scored on through a scrappy cross where my defender knicked it with his head, but the oncoming striker behind him knicked in on his as well - only to find a wide open midfielder at the far post for a volley. I'll post the goal here shortly. I'm trying to collect a bunch of goals with these sliders as no goal is the same.

Here it is - notice how the cross is into space - and the attacker has to run in to meet the ball. So many times I see crosses that are perfectly to the player's head all they have to do is jump up and twist their neck. This looks so much better.

Yes, GK clearances come and go though - just like the poor passing for the user when holding down long pass too long under pressure. In reality, in FIFA 15, the ball is hardly passed back to the AI keeper - so this isn't a deal breaker by any means.

Regarding the injuries, personally, I'm more interested in the type of injuries - like sprained ankles, knees, elbows or pulled hamstrings, etc. At the moment, the main one I see is just the sprained ankle as a result from a bad landing; and the occasional collision that results in a sprained elbow.
 
Lets not forget about the competition cheating...
If you are in both europe and domestic cups and on top of the league the game will cheat to throw you out of at least one...

I play on 100 pass AI error and still see 80-87% on every match...
