External Hardware don't show up in Safley Remove Hardware

Well, when I insert my external hardrive or a USB, it does not come up in Safley Remove Hardware, well, even the USB Mass Storage device dosen't show up. Is there any chance of fixing this?

Why? just make sure it isn't being copied to and unplug it.

You could probably stop it in Device Manager if it was really bothering you, but as jim says just unplug it. I've personally never had a USB stick fuck up because I didn't click the unplug button before I unplugged it.

Only happens on Linux. Windows would compensate for you just pulling out the USB, and releases the mount.
