The human player just plays the typical first time ping pong style that just further reminds me why i don't bother watching these videos.
The fact that it's possible to play like that - and that it's the best way to play to get a result (rather than thoughtless button-mashing resulting in you getting pounded, even on Regular) - is why I'm so out of love with the game now.

Little cosmetic thing that's not been fixed is the spacing for fonts. That gameplay of Juventus confirms it hasn't been fixed, at around 40 seconds in when the players come out of the tunnel look how bad Joao Cancelo and Alex Sandro's names look on the back of their shirts. Almost as if there's no spacing at all.

So up till now Konami makes a big deal about their new partners, announced the return of D2s and some (probably most likely visual) changes in ML. It may sound pessimistic, but in my perception everytime Konami announces something new, they screw something else up.
Last year they made a big deal about their bunch of new leagues, but in the end these were half assed, they deleted D2s and lost the Champions League license. Some years before they lost the license for the Copa Libertadores.

There are absolutely no informations on their website about leagues till now. I hope I'm wrong but I am more afraid of what they don't say than optimistic about what they say.
Yep. There'll be something shite coming, there always is something every year that Konami try to sneak under the radar.

According to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio the deal between Konami and Juventus is for three years.
FIFA 24 sees the return of Juventus then. I wonder if Konami have closed the Dortmund loophole so none of these deals can be terminated early.

Yeah that was scandalous regarding Celtic and Rangers, and I DO NOT say that lightly.
There were people out there (Reddit's resident Konami guardian) genuinely defending it too and saying that releasing the stadiums 6 months after release, and AFTER another previously unannounced stadium that had been demolished at time of release, was acceptable and customers were acting spoilt and entitled.

Am I mistaken or did DMK not say that it was very hard to perform that kind of ping-pong passes now on the podcast?.
Didn't he say that you had to think about controlling the ball and positioning yourself before trying to pass it?.

I'm not going to hold this against him. Just checking whether or not I got it right myself when I listened to the podcast.

That's what a lot of people are saying but the footage seems to show the contrary. It looks like no matter what position your player is facing and what direction you want to pass in and how fast the ball is moving towards you, You can always initiate this perfect first time slick driven pass along the ground. Most of us here have kicked a ball about at least a few times in a life and most of us have played in real football matches and we all know how physically difficult or nigh on impossible it is to string first time passes together the way they do in these videos.

A football simply doesn't behave like that at the volume you see it in these clips. It just seems so, carefree and casual.

I do recall seeing comments of that ilk on Reddit. I'm sorry, but if you're swinging your cock about over these partnerships then all the promises should be kept at launch. Did they not release a new version of Anfield before Parkhead and Ibrox?

Their page is an absolute joke. Most of the pictures promoting the announcement on there are just a bunch of screencaps from the video. This one is blurred at that :APPLAUD:

Next up, they claim that there are 'more than 17 players' 3D scanned, which is a peculiar statement in itself. Then they list exactly 17 who did get scanned.

Also Joao Cancelo's name is getting screamed out because why not. Never change Konami.

Other than that, any other interesting rumours left out there?

Dybala seems to be smoking same stuff what Szczesny did

Some Juve Ultras at 0:48

Nice to see that they've added music in the background when u score, a little variation at least..we need more of that stuff. Someone commented about the pace of the game, maybe it does seem a bit quicker..but u never know, many aspects affect it. To me seems even better, more fluid.

Soulless and boring.

I don't even know why I keep checking these gameplay videos expecting something new. PES won't change now, not for us offline players anyway.

I couldn't care less what licenses they get either, it's just putting lipstick on a pig at this stage.

Yep. Whilst they technically said 'in future DLC' I don't think anyone genuinely expected it to be in DLC 6 months after release.

Definitely one for r/technicallythetruth

That control at 0:40 though....:SHOCK::...

Ball physics look inconsistent. It floats a lot in the air, but on ground passes feels extremely heavy, sliding a lot, not rolling, and bounces seem very precanned.

these licenses are all well and good, but when it comes down to it when pes was at its best and up there with fifa's sales it was never been about this kinda stuff. it was about gameplay depth, substantial modes and being challenging yet fun to play. licenses were a non-issue.

i know the market has changed a bit since then but as soon as pes steps into the battle for licenses then it'll draw comparisons with fifa, and that is a losing battle. this juve exclusive deal is great on the surface for pes, but i don't expect it to move the needle positively in terms of sales, whether you compare to fifa or not. that applies to all these new licenses. i imagine they're expensive deals over a period of time (juve is 3 years i believe, expect others to be similar) and now require sales (boxed, digital and myclub) to be increased significantly to make up for the millions spent on getting these licenses. they might do it via myclub transactions (just), but doubt it will be done through boxed or digital sales.

if they invested this money (or a decent portion of it) on the gameplay, modes, content and online (especially this) side of things it would be a much better investment for the health of the game long term. this licensing stuff is all just hype and will die down once the game is out, having to rely on its actual quality rather "internet buzz". i could be wrong once the game is out, but that's just my opinion for now anyway.
