I was wondering if any of the admins would have any issues if I created a Discord server for evo-web. I saw a few people asking about it on the beta thread and it's been mentioned in the PC thread a few times.

I've used Discord for a while now, it's super handy for arranging games with people or an easy way to setup a quick online chat when playing a match.

Fairly easy for me to setup - we can allocate text channels (chat based rooms):

General
PS4
Xbox
PC

And then potentially 3/4 voice channels?

PS4 Chat
Xbox Chat
PC Chat
Moderator Chat

General thoughts?
 
Nope, no problem with that.

I'll work with you if you want to officialise (tm) it. By that I guess I mean add some links around the place and integrate the channel(s) somehow. If not and you just want to run it as a side thing that's also fine.

Yeah, that might be a good idea actually. Definitely think it's worth running it properly with Evo Web and not on the side! I'll drop the channel in here as soon as it's created and then we can sort out allocating correct channels and sharing access.

If you guys register, I can set you all to admins / mods etc. depending on what you'd prefer. Also pretty flexible on the overall layout of the server as well, I've loosely based it on ones that I've used before but it's easy enough to make changes.
 
Cheers bud, appreciated! I don't use Discord myself, but I'll let you know should I decide to take a lurk or two.
