My missus has succumbed to Apples iPad pricing and wants to ditch her iPhone for a new phone + iPad.

Anyone recommend a decent iPhone replacement on a budget of around £200 tops?

Requirements are;

1) Decent camera
2) Decent music player (but doesnt have to be outstanding, just easy to use)
3) Internet + Email
4) Must be quick(er than the iPhone) to use.

She likes my Desire, but I dont think she'll go to £400 for one.

Cheers!

Have a look at the sony ericcsson vivaz. Got everything you need a.d shouldnt be too expensive now. The n97 mini could be a good alternative aswell.

Cheers, thanks for those, will check them out!

My mate's got the Vivaz and it's pretty good. 720p HD video recording too.

You're doing it wrong guys.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz > £300...

How about the HTC Smart for her? < £200 and looks like its a 'baby Desire' (that sounds like a porn-star )

Why do you need to get rid of the iPhone and spend another £200 for a new phone?

Wouldn't it be best to keep the iPhone?

She hates it as its the 3G version and now looks very slow compared to the newer smart phones and she's never liked the camera.

I got over £200 for my iPhone the other week, so not really losing out if I can find her a better phone.

HTC hero all the way - with the villain rom 5.4

Ive got a desire now, and ive had iphone, but imo

iphone --- hero ---- legend ----- desire

I loved the hero - didnt have it long as it made me want the upgrade to desire,

but for me the iphone 'experience' is getting old on me -

Maybe its the newness of the android system (to me) why i prefer it so much more -

On ebay

It had 10 months warranty left though so that may have played a part in it

Bought for £150 (works out at £70 with my sold phone), sold for £265 and bought another for £200

You're still not bored of creating new accounts and posting the same broken English?

This thread is a couple of months old and not mine, but i'm hoping you guys can help me :).

Currently I have a really cheap phone, a £20 Orange Vegas (yes, it's made by Orange). It's not a bad phone and it does the job, but I've had to have it replaced twice already due to the screen getting cracked (the service was free and pretty fast too though) and the touch screen isn't the best for texting.

I'm looking to spend about £60, but will go up to £80 if needs be.
My iPod Touch is perfect for music, movies, games etc. so I don't need a ridiculously expensive phone - just one that is fast, easy to text from (preferably with buttons, cheap touch screens generally suck), looks nice and has good build quality.

I'll be looking to keep my number too so i'll want to be able to use my Orange sim card and I'll need it on PAYG.

I've done some searching but not found anything so far :(.

Any help appreciated :).
