Is it possible to play 2v2 online...but have 2 players on one console?

You could do this before, but I can't figure out how you can now. I want me and a friend to play someone else online.

Surely this can be done????????

I tried pressing start on the 2nd controller, and I tried in a friendly room as well as ranking room

What a bullshit, i could not play online with my brother on the same console. Is that so hard?? I could only play together with a stranger (2 vs 2).
