The TV Thread

Not going to have anywhere near that kinda money, Coopz. Due to Halifax taking away the overdraft, I'll be lucky to get £200 together now.

Cant you just put £50-£100 aside every week out of your wages?

You will have the cash for a TV in no time and you wont regret getting a decent sized one

£50-£10 a WEEK? :LMAO: I don't have that much per month mate ;) With having to pay CSA, bills and debts, I barely have any money at the end of the month and saving isn't an option.

The Toshiba is the one I want, just a case of whether I can sell enough to get £300 together now ...

You've linked us to the same tele twice there ;)).

Had a quick look at them both, I'd go for the Samsung out of the 2.

I bought one of these for £104.97.

Samsung 19" Syncmaster 933HD HDTV with built in Digital TV tuner. It's not full HD (1080p), but it's HD ready 1366 X 768 pixels (1080i) and got a cracking picture with the games. Has 10000:1 contrast ratio, 2 HDMI, Component, VGA, the works. Great value for the price and 19" is more than big enough for desktop gaming.

The seller is actually Tesco themselves, it's just that they are selling refurbs. You also get a 12 month warranty.

That's 720p mate.

I probably should have explained myself better. I meant it goes up to 1080i on the PS3/Xbox 360.

You're right though that res is 720p.

I was having a look and that Samsung UE22C4000 isn't 1080p (http://www.richersounds.com/product/led-tv/samsung/ue22c4000/sams-ue22c4000). For £20 more you could have got a 1080p Samsung 24" Samsung P2470HD 24-inch Full HD 1080p Widescreen LCD TV/Monitor with Freeview (5ms, 1000:1, HDMI, Black): Amazon.co.uk: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41xyVoF-Z3L.@@AMEPARAM@@41xyVoF-Z3L.

It is a nice TV thought and you have the bonus of it being LED :TU:. Good choice Milanista.

Going by the first price of £471

You could get a 50" Samsung for £30 more, a 42" Samsung for £370 or a 42" LG for £350

Why go small when bigger is the same price :)

Got my TV yesterday and must say it's amazing. The difference the LED backlights make is almost like night and day compared to my last Samsung LCD TV. Everything is so colourful and clear, and there's no motion blur at all.
