The demo is upon us. It's that time of the year again. Let's get right away into it, shall we? Tweaking every bit of it trying to make it a better game and to bring out the beauty that's hidden away somewhere.

Just tried decreasing Line Height and Length to 47. Midfield battles..

Demo seems fine to me; save your energy to repair the damage that KSI and friends will inevitably do to the retail release. ;)

There's a couple of good ones at Operation Sports. FSB even posted one of them.

Gonira's familiar there, aren't ya?

yes :)

so far only orion has made a set for 14 there, as far as i'm concerned. i plan on doing a set myself too, but i'd like to see placebo's first to maybe "steal" some ideas from him, haha. especially as we both usually go for legendary/10min. operation sports sets are almost always for 15min, too fkn sloooooow

Cant believe they STILL havnt fixed the lack of fouls by the A.I., if anything its worse than previous games. I'm playing 10minute halves and have now played my 3 friendlies and 3 league matches and I havnt had a single foul awarded to me! crap!

I had three penalties given in one match all for bad tackles, it's a lot to do with how you play IMO, I find I slow down and dribble around players near the box and regularly get fouls.

Same here, the CPU makes more fouls then I do every match. L2 is your friend :)

If you are playing friendlies, select a strict ref.
If you are playing career, before the match see what ref is chosen.
If it is a lenient one, go back one menu (when you select jerseys) and again to play match to check the new ref.
Select one of the strict ones (in EPL - Lowcroft, Millborough, Papwick).

Since no one did the sliders yet, here are my preliminary sliders:

the referees really feel more lenient this year from what i've seen so far. i do a lot of standing tackles that go uncalled in spots that would be a foul 90% of the time in fifa 13.

at least we're able to tackle for real now.

What do you mean by that?

i mean tackles were useless against cpu in fifa 12 and 13 because of their supernatural abilities. it doesn't feel like that this time imo.

Just a matter of tweaking some lines in the product.ini.

So sad for you console folks who are enjoying V exclusively.

Im finding the game setting on slow with no sliders is doing me just fine. If I could change one thing it would be to slow it down a tad more.
Any way to do this without changing tons of stuff?

Edit: A Quick glance at sliders would be to knock sprint down to 47/48

Do you mean slide tackles? I think they're the same - you always seem to 'go through' the player, rather than take him out - even if you try to do so deliberately. That's been an oddity in Fifa for years and I don't think they've fixed it this year either.

Here's my sliders that I'm using so far, consider them alpha stage right now :)

Once again it seems that Professional is too easy and World Class is too hard, but sliders helped balance that quite well last year - made the game tough, but not so you didn't want to play. :)

i agree. default settings are pretty good compared to earlier games. i'm liking world class difficulty, i can play it without touching any slider, only need to boost cpu pass error and first touch if playing full manual to compensate. for me it's more a matter of finding a half lenght that produces good scores than going crazy with sliders right now.

both sliding and standing tackles. to me they seem a lot more serviceable. practically, the only way i would get the ball back in fifa 13 was intercepting passes. in 14 i'm being very successful in really getting the ball back putting my foot there.

Well i up the setting to world class different in a good way more realistic cpu taking more shots played two games one won lost one thank you for these mate :)

am i the only one finding impossible to make a manual slider set this year that doesn't give ridiculously low scores? or is it my play? i tried placebo's set now and also felt like time's too short for goals to happen.

I've had 4-1, 3-2 (that was in the first half!) and such, but yeah scores tend to be lower in 10 min matches which I think is pretty realistic.

Placebo i think with first touch so high 65 all players are making very bad controls. I play at 45 and players are making better controls but sometimes bad controls, but not constantly...I think lower than 50 is more realistic. What do you think? Why so high?

I put it so high because despite the fact I'm playing with only English Championship level players at Sheffield Wednesday their first touch is almost perfect every time, in fact I'm probably going to raise it much higher for me! :)

Am I the only one who finds sliding tackles too easy? It is almost impossible to get a foul with them.
