Gran Turismo Sport Will Have Damage and Weather; Polyphony Optimizing for 60 FPS

Yesterday we saw quite a lot of Gameplay of the upcoming GT Sport, but since competitors did not have time to train with the new tracks and cars, there was quite a lot of bumping. Yet, no damage was seen. Luckily, this is going to change.

Producer Kazunori Yamauchi mentioned in an interview on Game Watch that the game has a damage system that already works internally, but it simply wasn’t activated in the build shown in London (which isn’t too surprising, because if it was, very few would have gotten to the finish line on the Nürburgring Nordschleife).

We also learn that the inclusion of weather is planned, but this time around Polyphony Digital isn’t going to implement dynamic weather, and we’ll be able to select it at the start of the race. This decision was taken because dynamic weather involves a trade off in terms of quality, and the development team decided to prioritize quality this time around.

We also learn that the team is still targeting the 1080p and 60 frames per second combination. Yet, since currently there are areas in which frame rate drops, the objective for future development is to optimize the game in order to have a stable frame rate at 60 FPS.

Lol. Thanks it's fixed now.

Been playing NBA2k16 on Xbone and it's just lovely. PES and Fifa can learn a lot of things from it.

Looks good, Spider-Man excites me, think it will be a good one.

Days Gone, though... Just... Enough of those games already.

Hi guys, I wondered if anyone has any advice. I've had my PS4 for about 2 months now. There has always been a slight issue to get the screen to display with the HDMI cable but I normally take it out of my TV and then put it back in and it's fine.

I also alternate between my PS4 and my Roku with separate HDMI cables. For example I have a cable in my PS4 and one in my Roku so I just unplug from the TV and plug the other one in. So the cable is always in the PS4. Hope that makes sense :))

Anyway, yesterday I had the Roku plugged in for quite a while and today I thought I would have a game of Project CARS before bed time. So I connect the PS4 to the TV and guess what the PS4 will not communicate with it. :BRICK:

I've tried different leads, different ports, I've tried the lead in the Roku and it works fine, but it won't work on the PS4. It plays the "tune" for about 1 second then it comes up "Please Wait".... Then plays the tune for 1 second and so on. I know the HDMI cables are known to have a 'hand shake' issue. I haven't tried the TV upstairs yet because I'm going to bed shortly (up early in the morning) and the point is I want it to play on the TV downstairs.

HDMI cables are such a pain, I had a similar issue on the PS3 and had to take it upstairs. But what's annoying is that it has been OK for 2 months and now suddenly it's jealous because I put Roku on for 6 hours and now it doesn't want to "shake hands" :BRICK:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Going bed now because fed up and may throw the PS4 out the window so I need to cool down. Any replies I will read in the morning.

Thanks guys.

Just tested it upstairs and it works fine. But the problem is that then I have to connect via wifi which is slower than plugging it straight into the router downstairs :(

Definitely sounds like a handshake issue, I've had this in the past with my AV receiver, grab yourself a cheap HDMI splitter, not only will it remove the need to constantly switch cables around (which will massively shorten the lifespan of the HDMI cables and the HDMI socket) but it can also resolve the handshake issue, try something like this before a more expensive one:

Or if you want to put it somewhere awkward to get to then this one with a remote:

I use a TV HDMI port to share between both my PS4 and roku as well. I make sure I switch cables while both PS4 and TV are off though, then switch on TV then PS4. Never had an issue thankfully.

I know I should be using an HDMI splitter, but I'm already using a 5 port splitter that's fully occupied on another HDMI port

Will need to free up room for the power cable before I get another splitter..

Thanks Placebo and Lami, i ordered one from Amazon. It cost £6.99 for the splitter and £7.99 for delivery! That's a bargain! :P

Considerable indeed

 Like i said thats the problem with '1 click' shopping in fact internet shopping as a whole. Back in the day, when i used to walk outside, i could look at an item, pick it up, put it down, weigh up my options, walk along the CD aisle, come back and then half hour later buy it. Now it is so easy to buy something without even thinking about it.

Anyway, the splitter turned up yesterday and it works okish. Everything else works but the PS4 is a bit random. So i read a bit about the splitter and it says i should buy their make of cable as it will work better. So i considered it and after about a minute....i bought 5!!!! :P
