PES6 - Windows 8

Hi, i've just installed PES 6 on my pc, but when i try and load the game, nothing happens. The game used to work fine when i had Vista so i don't understand the problem. I've googled it but basically just gone round in circles. It's a fairly common problem i think but none of the answers i've found on google break down the solution enough for somebody as stupid as me :FAIL:

Anybody got any ideas. I'm desperate to play it. Pes 2014 is a complete write off for me due to button lag even in offline mode.

Any help would be awesome. Cheers.
 
Have you tried running PES6.EXE in XP compatibility mode?

Right click over the EXE and set it.

Windows8 is pure crap though. Dunno why people install it in the first place.
